A: Phoenix Precision was formed in 1986 following an MBO.

A: We have a head count of 55.

I have a low volume requirement, what levels can you handle?
A: Essentially we are a low to medium volume manufacturer;
we can manufacture anything from a one off to regular monthly
batches.
Q: Do you need drawings?
A: The majority of our work is build to print where the
customers supply the drawings, however we have in many instances
in conjunction with our client, formulated the product concept,
manufactured prototypes and then finally created manufacturing
drawings.
Q: What materials can you
process?
A: We process many different types including Mild steel,
Zintec, Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass and Galv.
Q: Does your company belong
to any Trade bodies?
A: Phoenix belongs to the following Trade Bodies.
• Scottish Engineering.
• EEF (Engineering Employers Federation)
Q: What file formats can you
accept?
A: Various Data Files can be accepted; ideally
files should be in DXF or STEP or alternatively PDF.
Q: What Cad System do you use?
A:
Phoenix use an Integrated Sheet Metal Manufacturing package
called Radon 04. Radan 04 is the new sheet metal software
from Radan. Capabilities ranging from design, nesting, punching,
profiling and folding to drawing management, cost estimating
and document distribution.
